Huge Medium Format Sensor

The Fujifilm GFX 50S has been equip with a huge 43.8mm x 32.9mm, 51.4 MP CMOS sensor. That's a whole 1.7 times the size of a full-frame sensor! The resolution and sensitivity of the pixels on the sensor make for beautiful rich colour and tone reproduction in the images that you capture. This also makes the camera perfect for larger format photography such as commercial printing and billboards because you can print at very large sizes without reducing quality. Equally it is great for landscapes as you can take your image and really zoom into one area without fear of losing image quality.

Surprisingly small and light weight design

In the past, medium format cameras have been large, heavy and in no way portable. But with the Fujifilm GFX 50S, this is no longer an issue. It is surprisingly light and compact thanks to the magnesium alloy body that weighs in at just 825g - That's less than a lot of pro-level DSLR camera bodies. The body is robust, durable and has been made to be dust and moisture-resistant. It can even operate at temperatures as low as -10°C.

Dual SD Card Slots

The body has been fitted with Dual SD Card (UHS-II recommended) which can be used in 3 ways for full convenience for the photographer. These include, 'Sequential' where recording can be continued according to shooting order, 'Backup', this will record the same data on 2 cards simultaneously. Or, there is "Sorting," which will save RAW and JPEG data on separate cards.

117-Point Autofocus System

Fujifilm have incorporated a contrast-detection autofocus system that uses a total of 117 focus points. This is able to be further divided up into 425 focus point that enables a fast and accurate focusing speed. The user can utilise the integrated focus lever to switch between focal points/areas as well as switch between face and eye detection autofocus options. Additionally, focus peaking and frame magnification is available in the Fujifilm GFX 50s manual focus mode allowing you to be very critical in your focusing.
