Beautifully Controllable Stabiliser

The gimbal comes with an advanced control stick and a bright OLED display that exhibits critical camera and gimbal information such as the shutter speed, ISO, and aperture in addition to the battery and connection status. Common setting buttons, a quick-select control dial, and a gimbal joystick are all incorporated and made readily available within the user’s grasp. The user is free to switch settings on the fly hassle-free. It is also worth noting that the hands-on control method can be utilised whatever the angle of the gimbal is being used at any given moment. In addition to the plethora of new features the Zhiyun Crane 3 LAB also includes its sister product’s beloved features such as the easy Pan-Follow/Lock switch and the PhoneGo mode that turns the motors into overdrive to aid the capture of high-performance sports and action scenes.

Improved Wireless Operation

The wireless image transition system allows both smartphones and tablets to act as full HD monitors eliminating the need for an external monitor and therefore saving money. The ViaTouch Control System facilitates remote operation through any Android or iOS device that runs the ZY Play app. The control can be achieved either via the touch-interface or the motion-control, allowing for the flawless framing of shots, even if the operator is away from the gimbal. The ViaTouch function also gives the user the access to features such as follow focusing and object-tracking through a connected device.

Synchronous Zoom/Focus

The synchronous zoom and focus is supported on most cameras with the TransMount Servo Zoom/Follow Controller Max and TransMount Servo Zoom/Follow Controller Lite. Gain instant control of the zoom and focus with the zoom trigger and the focus wheel. It delivers an instantaneous response of the actions performed by the operator. This is a humongous improvement on previous gimbals that could only realize either one of zoom or focus function at one time. The RransMount Servo controllers are also available to purchase separately or though the Creator and Master Package.

Listening to the Feedback

The Crane3 LAB has been developed to meet the feedback received from the users of the gimbal’s predecessor. In order to improve the setup and portability, each axis/motor features a locking-tab in bright, red, sturdy aluminium. It locks each axis in place for balance or during transportation. In addition to this, each axis is longer and in combination with the stronger, aviation-grade engines is compatible with most best-selling DSLR cameras and lenses. The gimbal is powered by universally available 18650 batteries. These can be very easily switched or charged through a USB port, for up to 7.5 hours of operation.
